Okay, let's break down how foreigners, particularly Westerners, might talk about "那几天" (nà běn tiān), which refers to the days of menstruation.
There isn't one single perfect translation, as the specific phrase depends heavily on the context (casual conversation, medical context, describing symptoms, etc.) and the individual speaker's vocabulary. However, here are some common ways:
1. "Direct Translations (Less Common in Casual Speech):"
"Those days:" This is a literal translation and understandable, but it sounds quite formal or even slightly clinical in everyday conversation.
"Those few days:" Similar to the above, a bit more natural but still not the most common idiomatic way.
2. "Common Idiomatic & Casual Phrasings:"
"My period:" This is probably the most common and natural way for English speakers to refer to their menstruation in casual conversation. (e.g., "I have my period," "I'm on my period," "I got my period.")
"My cycle:" This refers to the entire monthly reproductive cycle, but often "my cycle" is used informally to mean the days of bleeding. (e.g., "I'm having a bad cycle," "It's that time of the cycle.")
"My time(s):" A very common, slightly vague, but widely understood euphemism. (e

“I’m on my period” 我现在例假期。
My period is over. 我的例假结束了。
今天主要是跟大家讲外国女孩子很有创意的表达“大姨妈”相关的委婉语。
aunt Flo. 弗洛姨妈
惊人!外国人竟也把这也叫姨妈, 后面的“flo”其实暗指“flow”(流动的意思)
My aunt Flo is visiting. 我大姨妈来了。
2.每个月总有那么几天,外国人也会这么说“That time of the month”就是“每个月的那几天”
比如I ‘m still in that time of the month. 我大姨妈还没走。
3. “大姨妈”是属于女人的事, 男人永远不懂,所以那几天也可以说“girls’ time”或者“ladies’ days”
eg. I hate girls’ time/ladies’ days. 我真讨厌大姨妈。
4. “大姨妈”的到来无疑多了件麻烦事, 不能运动,不能洗头发, 不能干这不能吃那, 所以你要讨厌它, 你可以称它为“the curse”“诅咒”.
eg. ”Dame it ! My got the curse ”
5.当然“大姨妈“并不是件坏事,你也可称它为”My little visitor“,”我的小客人“。
当然跟外国人谈论这个不需要觉得害羞,他们很开放的,至少我接触到的外国女孩子都是这样纸滴。
最后再劝解大家,既然在习外语就要真正融入这门语言,掌握这门语言的特点。放开胆量去说,不仅成为一个学英语的人,更要成为一个说英语的人!
